This week we learned about educational videos, types of videos, and different techniques to create our own videos. It was really interesting to learn about these tips and I think this information will be extremely beneficial when using educational videos in my future classroom.
While working in breakout rooms, we found an educational video on YouTube and determined what type of video it is, as well as explored various video features (i.e., turning on subtitles, adjusting playback speed, etc.). The video we explored is called Element of Art: Colour, by KQED Arts, and it was introduced to us in our art class. These videos are an excellent resource to teach students about specific elements of art before partaking in their own explorations. I practiced embedding the KQED: Element of Color video in my WordPress site. Check out the awesome educational resource below!
