This week, I explored a trail that I was not previously aware of. Blinkhorn Nature Park is a 1km loop around a small lake in Metchosin. The trail was really well-maintained, easy to walk, and the lake with really nice as well! The weather today was interesting, and I am lucky I was able to go on my walk before the rain came! The entire morning was beautiful, bright, sunny weather. However, when I was planning to go on the walk, I saw dark, rain clouds making its way from Downtown Victoria. Fortunately, we were able to enjoy the walk before the rain hit. However, as we were driving back, there was an intense rain and hailstorm! I was so happy that I missed that weather and was able  to enjoy the relaxing loop! Overall, I really enjoyed the trail and I would love to visit the little lake again in the future!

My rating of the trail: 8/10

  • Simple, easy trail
  • Well-maintained
